Independent Living Adult Family Home

The Independent Living Adult Family Home is four bed home for disabled adults who are unable to live independently in the community. These adults may be diagnosed with a developmental, physical or mental disability.

Learning skills for independence and healthy connections is the focus of teaching at the home.  Residents live together, learn to get along, prepare meals, keep the home orderly and clean, and have fun together.  Teaching Companions are live-in and part-time staff providing the daily support in the home and at work, with families, and friends in the community.  Going to see a basketball game, making lunch, bowling, or seeing some live music are all teaching opportunities as well as good times.

Placements are arranged and supervised by the Director of Residential Care and Family Care case managers. Interested family members and other treatment providers are also a part of the team that works together to insure the highest degree of independence and support needed for residents to maintain rich, fulfilling lives.
